FOR MUCH OF THE WESTERN CAROLINASVERY WINDY CONDITIONS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL CONTINUEINTO THE EVENING HOURS...MAINTAINING CRITICAL FIRE WEATHERCONDITIONS OVER THE WESTERN CAROLINAS. WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDSWILL GUST OVER 50 MPH ACROSS THE MOUNTAINS AND WESTERNFOOTHILLS...AND UP TO 40 TO 45 MPH FARTHER TO THE EAST. WINDSWILL SLOWLY DIMINISH AFTER SUNSET...THOUGH LOCATIONS IN THEMOUNTAINS AND ALONG THE EASTERN ESCARPMENT WILL REMAIN WINDY WELLINTO THE EVENING HOURS
